1. Introduction
Welcome to MyPetsAre.Life ("Platform", "we", "us", "our").
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MyPetsAre.Life website, applications, and services.
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
2. The Platform's Role
MyPetsAre.Life is an online marketplace that connects:
- Pet Owners seeking pet-related services
- Service Providers offering pet-related services
MyPetsAre.Life does not provide pet services directly and is not a party to any agreement between Pet Owners and Service Providers.
All services are provided independently by Service Providers.
3. Eligibility
To use the Platform, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have legal capacity to enter into contracts
- Provide accurate and complete information
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false or misleading information.
4. User Accounts
4.1 Account Creation
You must create an account to use certain features. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining account confidentiality
- All activity under your account
4.2 Account Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts if users:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or unsafe behaviour
- Harm pets, people, or the Platform's integrity
5. Service Providers
Service Providers confirm that:
- They are legally allowed to provide services in Portugal
- They hold any required licenses, permits, or insurance
- They are solely responsible for the services they provide
Service Providers act in their own name and on their own behalf.
They are not employees, agents, or representatives of MyPetsAre.Life.
5.1 Provider Vetting Process
To help maintain trust and quality on the Platform, Service Providers are required to complete a Provider Questionnaire as part of the onboarding process.
The questionnaire may include information related to:
- Experience with animals
- Types of services offered
- Availability and preferences
- References or background information
- Other details relevant to providing pet-related services
Completion of the Provider Questionnaire is mandatory in order to request access to the Platform as a Service Provider.
MyPetsAre.Life may review submitted information and may approve, reject, suspend, or remove a Service Provider at its sole discretion.
The Provider Questionnaire is a screening and moderation tool only. It does not constitute certification, professional licensing, endorsement, or a guarantee of service quality, safety, or outcomes.
Pet Owners remain solely responsible for assessing whether a Service Provider is suitable for their specific needs.
6. Bookings and Payments
6.1 Bookings
Bookings are agreements directly between Pet Owners and Service Providers.
MyPetsAre.Life facilitates the booking process but does not guarantee:
- Service quality
- Outcomes
- Compatibility between users
6.2 Payments
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers.
MyPetsAre.Life may charge a platform service fee on bookings.
Service Providers are responsible for:
- Declaring income
- Paying all applicable taxes, including VAT where required
7. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation and refund terms are defined by:
- The Service Provider's cancellation policy
- Platform rules displayed at the time of booking
MyPetsAre.Life may assist in disputes but does not guarantee refunds.

8. User Conduct
Users agree not to:
- Provide false or misleading information
- Circumvent the Platform to avoid fees
- Harm or mistreat animals
- Harass, abuse, or threaten others
- Upload unlawful, offensive, or infringing content
Violations may result in immediate account termination.
9. Reviews and Content
Users may post reviews and other content.
By submitting content, you grant MyPetsAre.Life a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and reproduce such content for Platform purposes.
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.
10. Liability Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- MyPetsAre.Life is not liable for acts or omissions of users
- We do not guarantee service availability, quality, or outcomes
- Use of the Platform is at your own risk
Pet Owners and Service Providers are solely responsible for:
- Their interactions
- Animal care and safety
- Compliance with applicable laws
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyPetsAre.Life from any claims, damages, or losses arising from:
- Your use of the Platform
- Your breach of these Terms
- Your interaction with other users
12. Insurance
MyPetsAre.Life does not provide insurance coverage for services.
Service Providers are encouraged to maintain appropriate insurance for their activities.
13. Intellectual Property
All Platform content, trademarks, and technology belong to MyPetsAre.Life or its licensors.
You may not copy, modify, or distribute Platform content without permission.

Use of the Platform is also governed by our:
